Donald J. Trump pledged to award a 16-year-old lifeguard a high civilian honor at the White House after the teenager rescued a drowning boy. Trump made the promise in a post on Truth Social, calling the young man heroic and brave. Trump said he would invite the lifeguard and his family, and perhaps the boy he saved, to the ceremony.
