STRATFORD, CONNECTICUT — Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., the Stratford, Connecticut, maker of the UH-60M Black Hawk, received a $56.8 million contract modification to fund additional procurement for the Army’s workhorse utility helicopter, as announced on war.gov.
The award, designated modification P00002 to undefinitized contract action W58RGZ-26-C-0008, brings the deal’s total cumulative face value to $121.8 million. Fiscal 2025 aircraft procurement funds of $56.8 million covered the obligation at the time of the award, according to war.gov. Sikorsky will perform the work in Stratford, with an estimated completion date of Dec. 31, 2027.
The money covers advanced procurement, a mechanism the Army uses to buy long-lead components before it places a full production order. That approach lets manufacturers secure parts and materials early, shortening delivery timelines for aircraft the service depends on for troop transport, medical evacuation and cargo missions.
