Trump celebrates Vindman’s election night loss in Truth Social post
Trump posts that Alexander Vindman lost an election, calling the result cool in a message on his account.
WASHINGTON D.C. — Donald J. Trump celebrated an election night loss for Alexander Vindman in a post on his Truth Social account.
Here is the full post on truthsocial: “SleazeBag Vindman loses tonight to a Radical Left Lunatic. How cool is that??? President DJT” on August 18, 2026 at 9:35 PM ET.
This is Trump’s 1st message released today, and the last post was 5 days ago, and it is not part of a thread. On average, Trump produces 18 posts per day since his inauguration on January 20, 2025. The move fits a broader pattern in Trump’s recent messaging, with 122 of his 408 posts over the last 30 days classified as Elections posts.
The post named Alexander Vindman, without specifying the race, opponent, or jurisdiction involved. Trump did not identify the person he described as the winner. No independent source in the available materials confirms the outcome Trump described.
Trump’s message stands as his own characterization of an electoral result. The claim remains unverified in the materials at hand.
