— Donald J. Trump said the United States Supreme Court ruled in favor of a privately funded ballroom and Military Complex planned for Washington, D.C., clearing the project of what he called a baseless legal challenge.

Trump said the ruling removed “any further contingency, doubt, or threat” to the construction effort. He said the project faced a lawsuit brought by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, an organization he said “is not in any way affiliated with the United States Government.” Trump described the project as under budget and ahead of schedule, with a target completion date in the summer of 2028.

Here is the full post on truthsocial: “I am pleased to report that the United States Supreme Court has just ruled in favor of the Ballroom/Military Complex being built without any further contingency, doubt, or threat. We are living in the Golden Age of America, and this Building will be one of the Greatest ever constructed in Washington, D.C. When completed in the Summer of 2028, the magnificent Ballroom and Military Complex will be something that the entire Country is very proud of. The Project, despite the baseless lawsuit brought by the so-called National Trust for Historic Preservation of the United States, which is not in any way affiliated with the United States Government, is under budget and ahead of schedule. The Ballroom is totally funded by Great Patriots and Corporations and, therefore, is a Gift — At no cost to the American Taxpayer. Thank you for your attention to this matter! Trump” on August 31, 2026 at 5:24 PM ET.

This is Trump’s 1st message released today, and the last post was 10 days ago, and it is not part of a thread. On average, Trump produces 17 posts per day since his inauguration on January 20, 2025. The move fits a broader pattern in Trump’s recent messaging, with 11 of his 221 posts over the last 30 days classified as Legal posts.

Trump claimed the complex would rank among the greatest buildings ever constructed in the nation’s capital. He said the ballroom “is totally funded by Great Patriots and Corporations and, therefore, is a Gift — At no cost to the American Taxpayer.” The post did not identify the corporations or individuals providing the funding nor the total cost.

The attached image shows neoclassical Corinthian columns with ornate acanthus leaf capitals, dentil molding, and classical cornicing. The pristine white appearance suggests architectural renderings rather than photographs of a completed structure. No identifying signage or location markers appear in the image.

Trump framed the Supreme Court decision as a victory over the National Trust for Historic Preservation. He emphasized that the organization has no formal government affiliation. The post did not identify the specific Supreme Court case, the justices involved, or the legal arguments at issue.

The post repeated a phrase Trump has used throughout his second term, saying the country is “living in the Golden Age of America.” Trump signed the message “Trump,” a formality he has adopted in several recent truthsocial posts addressing policy or legal matters.

The 10-day gap between this post and Trump’s previous message stands out against his daily average of 17 posts. The silence ended with a claim of judicial vindication on a construction project Trump described in celebratory terms. The absence of a case name, docket number, or ruling date leaves the specifics of the claimed Supreme Court decision unverified from the post alone.
