WASHINGTON D.C. — I am pleased to announce the nomination of Todd Butler to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit! On October 1, 2026, Donald J. Trump nominated attorney G. Todd Butler to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Butler is the managing partner of law firm Phelps Dunbar’s Jackson, Mississippi office, specializing in appellate and constitutional litigation. He previously clerked for Fifth Circuit Judge Leslie H. Southwick. I am pleased to announce the nomination of Todd Butler to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit!
