The shared post discusses Republican turnout during the 2026 Texas gubernatorial election. In a historic upset, Democrat Gina Hinojosa defeated three-term Republican incumbent Greg Abbott by about seven percentage points, becoming the state’s first Democratic governor in more than three decades.

Text visible in the screenshot: Donald Ward → (@WardoftheStates): A lot of yammering about Republican turnout. Greg Abbott (Respected Moderate) EXCEEDED his 2022 midterms performance by 100K votes (and counting). He garnered more votes than any Republican Gubernatorial candidate in Texas history. The problem is Gina Hinojosa gained 1.7 million votes more than Beto O'Rourke. Those are Looney Tunes numbers. Hinojosa got 400K more votes in Texas than Kamala Harris in 2024. She’s got more than Joe Biden in 2020 by 5,000 votes and counting. These are not normal midterms numbers. These are retard numbers. Not a single opinion poll before the elections came close to predicting this. Lines at the polling places in Texas should have been around the block to get these results. Unfortunately too many Conservative Thought Leaders are more concerned about screaming “I told you so” and polishing their resumes for 2028 for the upcoming DeSantis-Vance feuds. 2026 Texas gubernatorial election 45.85% (of registered voters) Turnout 37.06% (of voting age population)1 Reporting as of 8:24 AM CST Nominee Greg Abbott Beto O’Rourke Party Republican Democratic Nominee Party Gina Hinojosa Greg Abbott Democratic Republican Popular vote Percentage Popular vote Percentage RCP Average Poll Vault/Emerson Atlas Intel NY Times/Siena 10/15 – 11/1 10/31 – 11/1 Abbott +2.3 Abbott +1 10/28 – 11/1 1678 A 2.0 Hinojosa +1 10/27 – 11/1 1215 LV 3.3 Hinojosa +1 YouGov 10/26 10/29 2141 LV 2.9 Abbott +1 Quantus Insights CNN ISU/YouGov Emerson 10/20 10/27 923 LV 10/26 10/28 1221 LV 3.2 Abbott +6 Abbott +2 Fox News 10/21 10/25 2000 LV 2.2 10/17-10/19 1000 LV 3.0 10/15 10/10 130RIV Abbott +3 Abbott +4 Ahhatt Lenny Bronner @lennybronner Todays story is that Democrats showed up as if this were a presidential election… and Republicans didn’t The voters who stayed home were Republicans Republican votes vs. Trump 24 Democratic votes vs. Harris ’24 હે રાખો કે Most Republican Least Republican Republ Most Least Most Republican Republican Least Republican Republican Last edited 3:54 PM Nov 4, 2026 613.4K Views Least Republican Re Most Least Republican BROOME STREET

President Trump is the author of The Art of the Deal, Think Like a Billionaire, and Think Big. Analyst and Trump supporter Rod Martin points to The Art of the Deal, Trump's 1987 book, as an explanation of his deal-making philosophy: making big announcements, pivoting often in public statements and, Martin says, ultimately getting what he wanted all along. Critics contend that Trump's books were published decades ago or were aimed at making money, not shedding light. "Generally," Martin said, "critics don't read The Art of the Deal. If they did, they would understand."
