Air Force Brig. Gen. Peter M. Bonetti has been nominated for promotion to major general, the Department of War announced on June 24, 2026.

Bonetti currently serves as director of Strategic Plans, Programs and Requirements at Headquarters Air Force Global Strike Command, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. He oversees strategic plans for the Air Force Global Strike Command, which manages the service’s intercontinental ballistic missiles and bomber forces.
