JE Dunn wins $45.8 million to repair Air Force Academy cadet chapel

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI — JE DUNN Construction Co.has won a $45.8 million modification to keep repairing the storied cadet chapel at the U.S. Air Force Academy.
The Kansas City, Missouri, firm received an unpriced change order definitization modification (PZ0021) to a previously awarded contract (FA8903-19-C-0021) for repair of the cadet chapel at the U.S. Air Force Academy (see war.gov). The modification brings the total cumulative value of the contract to $387.1 million from $383.3 million. Work will be performed in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and is expected to be completed by Aug. 4, 2028.
Fiscal 2025 operations and maintenance funds of $34.3 million are being obligated at the time of award. The Air Force Installation Contracting Center Task Force, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, is the contracting activity. The award was made July 2, 2026.
