Inland Dredging wins $16.3 million Gulf Intracoastal Waterway contract

DYERSBURG, TENNESSEE — Inland Dredging Co. LLC has won a $16.3 million Army contract to dredge part of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway in Texas.
The Dyersburg, Tennessee, company received the firm-fixed-price award for pipeline dredging along the waterway, according to a Defense Department contract notice (see war.gov). Bids were solicited over the internet, and three were received. Work will be performed in Nueces County, Texas, with an estimated completion date of Feb. 24, 2027.
Fiscal 2026 civil operation and maintenance funds totaling $16.3 million were obligated at the time of the award (see war.gov). The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Galveston, Texas, is the contracting activity under contract number W912HY-26-C-A-023.
The Gulf Intracoastal Waterway is a navigable inland channel running along the Gulf Coast, and routine dredging keeps it deep enough for commercial barge and vessel traffic. The award reflects ongoing federal spending to maintain the waterway as a working commercial corridor.
