Donald Trump has amplified a follower’s post crediting God with choosing him to bring peace to the world on a Truth Social post on June 14, 2026 at 10:27 AM EST.

Here is the full post on [truthsocial]: “Bob GOYA @BobGOYA1 I was in Madrid last week & coincided with Pope Leo. They called him The Peace Pope? I believe GOD CHOSE PRESIDENT TRUMP TO BRING PEACE to the WORLD & he’s doing just that while my POPE HAS only CRITICIZED & WRONGLY JUDGED!”

The message came from an account displaying the name Bob GOYA under the handle @BobGOYA1, carrying a verification badge and 9,809 views. The post drew a contrast between Pope Leo, described by some as “The Peace Pope,” and the president, whom the author praised for advancing peace. The author wrote that the Pope had “only CRITICIZED & WRONGLY JUDGED.”

The handle references Goya Foods, whose former president and chief executive, Robert “Bob” Unanue, became a prominent Trump supporter and a lightning rod for controversy. Unanue, a third-generation leader of the New Jersey-based company founded in 1936, praised Trump in June 2020, prompting boycott calls that he refused to answer with an apology (see forbes.com). Goya still reported a peak revenue of $1.5 billion in 2023 (see forbes.com).

Unanue announced his departure from the family business through a press release in February 2025, saying a board vote had addressed his employment as president (see forbes.com). The company’s board had earlier censured him, requiring board approval before he spoke to the media (see forbes.com).

The attached image showed two men in formal black tuxedos before a step-and-repeat banner reading “American Cornerstone Institute,” flanked by a U.S. flag and a presidential flag. The photograph’s content does not connect to Madrid or the Pope, and the identities and authenticity could not be independently confirmed.

In the last 30 days, 81 of 534 Trump posts were on topic “Foreign Policy.”
