WHITE HOUSE — Donald Trump has amplified a follower’s post crediting God with choosing him to bring peace to the world on a Truth Social post on June 14, 2026 at 10:27 AM EST.
Here is the full post on [truthsocial]: “Bob GOYA @BobGOYA1 I was in Madrid last week & coincided with Pope Leo. They called him The Peace Pope? I believe GOD CHOSE PRESIDENT TRUMP TO BRING PEACE to the WORLD & he’s doing just that while my POPE HAS only CRITICIZED & WRONGLY JUDGED!”
The message came from an account displaying the name Bob GOYA under the handle @BobGOYA1, carrying a verification badge and 9,809 views. The post drew a contrast between Pope Leo, described by some as “The Peace Pope,” and the president, whom the author praised for advancing peace. The author wrote that the Pope had “only CRITICIZED & WRONGLY JUDGED.”
The handle references Goya Foods, whose former president and chief executive, Robert “Bob” Unanue, became a prominent Trump supporter and a lightning rod for controversy.
