Boeing wins $2 billion Space Force deal for two MUOS satellites

EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA — Boeing has secured a maximum $2 billion contract to extend the life of the military’s Mobile User Objective System satellite network on June 22, 2026.

This contract provides for the design, development, build, launch support, and on-orbit test support of two MUOS satellites. Work will be performed in El Segundo, California, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2035. This contract was a competitive acquisition, and two offers were received. Fiscal 2026 research, development, test and evaluation funds in the amount of $204,083,073 are being obligated at time of award. Space Systems Command, Los Angeles Air Force Base, California, is the contracting activity (FA8807-26-C-B006).”
