WHITE HOUSE — Donald J.Trump endorsed Mike Mazzei for governor of Oklahoma and attacked runoff opponent Gentner Drummond in a Truth Social post on June 26, 2026 at 3:43 PM EST.
Here is the full post (see truthsocial): “MAGA Warrior Mike Mazzei is running for Governor in Oklahoma, where I was the ONLY President to win ALL 77 Counties in three straight Elections. Additionally, I won more votes than any Candidate in the State’s History! I LOVE Oklahoma, and Mike has my COMPLETE and TOTAL Endorsement for Governor! Meanwhile, his Runoff Election Opponent, Gentner Drummond, is a FAKE Republican. The Drummonds donated to SLEEPY Joe Biden, and the totally corrupt Lincoln Project, at levels that are shameful — Frankly, that makes him a Radical Left Dumocrat. Additionally, he wants to dethrone a magnificent, Job producing, desperately needed Aluminum Plant that will be one of the best projects ever conceived or built in the Great State of Oklahoma. The group that’s doing it is extraordinarily wealthy and, if they don’t do it in Oklahoma, they have 20 other sites that would love to have them. We need Aluminum for many reasons, we barely make it in the United States but, in particular, it’s all about National Security, and Oklahoma can lead the way. Very simply, Mike Mazzei is for this desperately needed Job Producer. Drummond, for his own reasons, is not — He even SUED, unsuccessfully, to block it. It’s going to be the Biggest Aluminum Plant in the Country, and it’s all financed and done. Gentner Drummond has also stated publicly he had “no opinion” on the BOGUS IMPEACHMENT of a gentleman named, Donald J.Trump (ME!). All Republicans feel the opposite on the Dumocrat inspired Impeachment Hoax. He even SUED to BLOCK a religious based charter school strongly supported by my Administration — Very troubling for Educational Freedom, and an outright attack on Christianity! Drummond is not the right guy, he’s got a bad attitude, and he doesn’t stand for the Values of Oklahoma, which must VOTE “MIKE MAZZEI FOR GOVERNOR” on August 25th — HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN! Thank you for your attention to this matter. Donald J.Trump”
Trump called Mazzei a “MAGA Warrior” and labeled Drummond a “fake Republican,” citing donations by the Drummond family to Joe Biden and the Lincoln Project. The post urged Oklahoma voters to back Mazzei in the August 25 runoff election, framing the contest as a fight between a loyal conservative and a disloyal opponent.
Mazzei, 61, served in the Oklahoma Senate from 2004 to 2016 and later held the post of Secretary of Budget under Governor Kevin Stitt from 2019 to 2020 (see Google). He announced his candidacy for governor in March 2025 and advanced to the runoff after a crowded Republican primary on June 16 that included nine candidates (see southwestledger.news). Mazzei founded Trinity Strategic Wealth, a Tulsa-based investment management firm, and holds degrees from George Mason University and the College of Financial Planning.
Trump focused much of the post on a proposed aluminum plant that he described as the largest in the country. He said Drummond opposed the project and sued to block it, while Mazzei supports it. Trump framed the plant as vital to national security, arguing the United States produces too little aluminum domestically.
The post also attacked Drummond for stating he had “no opinion” on Trump’s impeachment and for suing to block a religious charter school. Trump called that lawsuit “an outright attack on Christianity” and said it threatened educational freedom.
Drummond, who serves as Oklahoma Attorney General, advanced to the runoff alongside Mazzei after the June 16 primary (see gaylordnews.net). The race has drawn national attention as Trump’s endorsement tests his influence in a state he won by wide margins in three consecutive presidential elections.
In the last 30 days, 133 of 619 Trump posts focused on the topic of elections, reflecting the intensity of his engagement in midterm and state-level races across the country.
