Here is the full post (see war.gov): “Lockheed Martin Corp., Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., Fort Worth, Texas, is awarded a $14.5 million cost-plus-fixed-fee order (N0001926F2179) against a previously issued basic ordering agreement (N0001924G0010). This order provides comprehensive diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages management services for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Air System, including supply chain monitoring, subcontractor oversight, obsolescence management, technology refresh planning, inventory assessments, and cost forecasting. This effort supports identification and mitigation of obsolete or unavailable parts and materials, preventing production disruptions and ensuring the long-term sustainment and operational readiness of the F-35 fleet in support of the Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, and F-35 Program Partners.”
The order covers supply chain monitoring, subcontractor oversight, obsolescence management, technology refresh planning, inventory assessments and cost forecasting for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Air System (see war.gov). The effort targets obsolete or unavailable parts to prevent production disruptions and sustain the F-35 fleet for the Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and F-35 Program Partners.
Work will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas (32.43%); Palm Bay, Florida (9.03%); Orlando, Florida (8.44%); San Diego, California (7.23%); El Segundo, California (4.11%); Owego, New York (4.1%); Cedar Rapids, Iowa (3.86%); and additional sites across the continental United States and abroad, with completion expected by December 2031 (see war.gov). Fiscal 2025 aircraft procurement (Air Force) funds of $5,932,808, fiscal 2025 aircraft procurement (Navy) funds of $5,932,807, and F-35 program partner funds of $2.6 million will be obligated at the time of award, none of which expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competed, and Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
This contract represents the 18th award to Lockheed Martin Corp., Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., in 2026, bringing the company’s total contract value for the year to $9.26 billion. It is also the 62nd Department of Defense contract awarded in Texas during 2026.
