Donald Trump said the Treasury Department will accept stock donations to fund Trump Accounts for American children on a Truth Social post on July 3, 2026 at 7:03 PM EST.

Here is the full post (see truthsocial): “BIG NEWS! My Administration is delivering another fantastic America First Victory. The Department of Treasury will now accept philanthropic contributions of readily tradable Publicly Traded Stock to help fund TRUMP ACCOUNTS for eligible American children. This opens the door for GREAT American Businesses, Philanthropists, and Job Creators to invest directly in the future of our children, and help build a Generation of Savers, Investors, and Owners. The response to TRUMP ACCOUNTS has been incredible — More than 6 MILLION TRUMP ACCOUNTS have already been requested before the Program has even launched. The American People LOVE this idea because it puts America’s children FIRST, rewards Success, and helps build Wealth for the next Generation. The Golden Age of America is just getting started!Donald Trump

The post said the Treasury Department will now accept philanthropic contributions of readily tradable publicly traded stock to help fund the accounts. Trump said the move opens the door for American businesses, philanthropists and job creators to invest directly in children’s futures and to build “a Generation of Savers, Investors, and Owners.”

More than 6 million Trump Accounts have already been requested before the program has launched, according to the post. Trump said the American people support the idea because it “puts America’s children FIRST, rewards Success, and helps build Wealth for the next Generation.”

The Trump Accounts initiative sits within a broader domestic policy agenda that has drawn both support and legal challenges. States led by Democratic attorneys general have moved against other administration measures, including a 25-state lawsuit over new Medicaid work requirements enacted under H.R. 1, the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” the president signed last July (see whyy.org). The administration has also proposed rules it says could reduce Medicare drug costs (see apnews.com).

In the last 30 days, 47 of 511 Trump posts were on the topic “Domestic Policy.”
