Lockheed Martin wins $142.9 million Air Force C-5 software contract

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co. will provide software sustainment for the C-5 Galaxy through 2032, with work in Marietta, Georgia, and Greenville, South Carolina.

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co.has won a $142.9 million Air Force contract to sustain software for the C-5 Galaxy transport fleet.

The Marietta, Georgia, company received a cost-plus-fixed-fee and firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity award for software sustainment services covering the C-5 Galaxy (see war.gov). The contract provides software updates and maintenance, supporting certification artifacts, systems integration laboratory maintenance, engineering and technical support, and software engineering support services. It was a sole source acquisition.

Work will be performed in Marietta, Georgia, and Greenville, South Carolina, and is expected to be completed by May 20, 2032. Fiscal 2026 operation and maintenance funds of $19.3 million are being obligated at the time of award. The C-5 Contracting Branch at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, is the contracting activity (FA8525-26-D-B002)F.
